WASC:

Great news!!! Canyon High School was granted a Six-Year Accreditation Status with a Mid-Cycle two-day visit by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). The Six-Year accreditation team is a testament to the incredible staff, students and school community at Canyon High School. The WASC committee was extremely complementary about the incredible instruction they saw from our teachers as they visited every classroom during their visit.

News from Counseling:

National School Counseling Week 2016 (February 1-5) was celebrated at school sites and also at the district level this year. At the beginning of the week, posters were up in the Canyon counseling office and counselors wore Super Counselor T-shirts made by Mrs. Chang. Mid- week, counselors put out treats for faculty, staff, and administration to thank them for collaborating to support student success. The district also hosted lunch for all counselors with a motivational message from counseling guru, Bob Tyra. And on Friday, the clerical staff treated the counselors to breakfast and the counselors handed out “Positive Pops” (lollipops with uplifting messages) to students at lunch.

It was an uplifting and rewarding week for all school counseling stakeholders!
